No More Free Forwarding with Google Apps
28 Nov
Rats.
With every new website, domain project, and/or latest greatest web idea we’ve ever had, we’ve long known to setup email for that domain with Free Google Apps. Why?
- Its FREE!
- Simple, yet robust
- Strength of Google SPAM filtering
- Access to account-specific calendars and docs
The ability to forward email to another account
Welp, you can cross out letter E. (letter E? yea, its a template thing.)
It appears that the free version of Google Apps no longer supports email forwarding. And while this makes a lot of technical (and financial) sense, its frustrating when you have a very cool piece of functionality ripped from your comfort zone.
Free Apps is still a very useful and helpful tool for managing a small organization. We still love the 10 user accounts available to us, access via gmail, great spam filtering and easy administration, so we aren’t too upset with Google.
After all, the dudes like easy.
